Black's Law Dictionary gives as its definition of criminal libel the following: "In common law, a malicious libel that is desigend to expose a person to hatred, contempt, or ridicule and that may subject the author to criminal sanction. Because of Constitutional protections to free speech libel is no longer criminally prosecuted." Williamson is an elected public official. The First Amendment gives me the right to lampoon Williamson in writing or in speech. In my opinion, he has earned the public's hatred, contempt, and ridicule for his despicable perversion of the legal system and the harm he has inflicted on the public under color of law--the very public and legal system that he has a Constitutional obligation to protect. His ethics are those of the rapist: "blame the victim!"
